Athletes and teams must have five years elapsed since the end of their UBC career. Selected nominees are presented to an independent selection committee, the make-up of which is refreshed each year. Each nominee is eligible for six years.

Nominations are welcome but must be submitted by October 1st of each year to be considered for induction that year.
